Good Prep Food
A company from Viet Nam called Vifon manufactures lots of individually packaged noodles and other food items.
My personal favorites are Pho Ga and Pho Bo, rice noodles and chicken and beef flavor, respectively. Each package makes 400ml of liquid of the noodles and they only require boiling water to reconstitute. Each comes with three "flavor packets" a la ramen noodles, soup, onions and veggies, and a cooking oil. They store well and are a nice tasty snack. Yes, high in sodium but you can eliminate some of the ingredients to cut down on that. The rice noodles themselves are pretty darn good. |

Re: Good Prep Food
I've seen these at regular stores under various brand names.
I've also seen them in Indian stores (I used to date an Indian girl), as "2 minute noodles", for around 30-50 cents a pack. They had a tomato flavour, which the regular stores didn't offer, which was the only one I could stand. Regular grocery stores also managed to get up to $1.99. I could eat them if there's nothing else around, but I wouldn't want to try to live off them. |

Phoc yu are good noodles, or was it phoc me?
Sorry couldn't resist. I make a thai dish that is called phoc yu. I get a laugh everytime I look at the recipe. NOOB |
